Vincent Varrie was primarily self-taught on the guitar before enrolling in the Certificate program at the Stellenbosch Conservatorium in 2013. During this time, he studied guitar under Reza Khota, where he won the Karin Maritz shield for most promising student in 2014. In 2015 he did his diploma at Stellenbosch university under the tutelage of the amazing Nina Fourie-Gouws, before specializing in guitar performance during his Advanced Diploma in 2018, and then a specialization in Advanced guitar teaching in his BMus(hons) degree in 2019. Vincent has also taught at several outreach programs around Stellenbosch as well as some more well-established schools around Cape Town.
