Lebohang Banda is a jazz vocalist who is currently in her final year of a BMus at UCT. She studies under the tutelage of Nomfundo Xaluva, who is her biggest inspiration. Although she started her music education as a flautist, Lebo has always loved singing. Her first encounter with jazz music was Judith Sephuma, who still inspires her. She also admires Tutu Puoane for her creativity and Nina Simone for her bravery. As Ifidyoli’s junior theory and aural teacher, she has a special gift for creating a warm, kind and gentle environment for our youngest learners to flourish!
