Tricia Theunissen

Tricia Theunissen was born and raised in Bellville and started her violin tuition with Madelein van Rooyen at the age of 9 at the Hugo Lambrechts Music Centre.  At age 14 she becomes a member of the Senior String Ensemble and the Symphony Orchestra at the Hugo Lambrechts Music Centre.  In 2003 the Senior String Ensemble won the National Ensemble Competition in Stellenbosch. 

Tricia started studying with Suzanne Martens in 2006 when she started her BMus at Stellenbosch University.

Dorothy Holder

Dorothy Holder was born and bred in Cape Town.  Her ambition had always been to teach and her studies at the University of Cape Town were in music education.

Dorothy has spent most of her working life teaching in the Eastern Cape, 17 years of which were at the D.R. Wynne Music School at St Andrew’s College and the Diocesan School for Girls in Grahamstown.  There she taught numerous aspects of music to many different age groups.  She has taught everything from Grade R class music to Matric subject work, as well as various instruments, and has trained choirs and ensembles.

Anne-Marié Swanepoel

Anne-Marié Swanepoel obtained the B Mus degree (cum laude) from the University of the Free State, receiving tuition from Profs Jack de Wet (violin) and Leo Quayle (piano) respectively. From the University of South Africa she also obtained the teachers licentiate in violin. At the inception of the Free State Youth Orchestra she was appointed as its first concert master.
